Every House of Bridie™ creation begins not in a workshop, but on pilgrimage.

This Ritual Chest was inspired by a journey that led us from the Eternal Flame of Kildare, to the sacred wells of Ireland and Glastonbury, and finally to the ancient city of Wells, whose graceful swans have long become one of the symbols we associate with Brigid's gentle presence.

While walking through the peaceful grounds of the Bishop's Palace, we spent time watching the swans glide silently across the waters with their young cygnets. They approached us without fear, creating one of those rare moments that felt almost sacred—a quiet reminder of Brigid's qualities of peace, compassion and gentle strength.

Wanting to preserve the spirit of that day, we gathered only gifts that nature had already offered. A naturally shed swan feather was found beside the water's edge, a small pine cone beneath the trees where the swans make their home, and wood gathered from the palace grounds became the foundation of the handcrafted Swan Wand.

During the same pilgrimage, we selected a clear quartz point in Glastonbury, bringing together the energies of sacred wells, ancient landscapes and places that have inspired pilgrims for centuries.

The journey continued to the White Spring in Glastonbury and to the Holy Wells of Kildare, where sacred waters were respectfully collected and later incorporated into our Rose Goddess Altar Essence and Aura Cleansing Mist.

Our Eternal Flame candle carries the flame first lit from Solas Bhríde in Kildare, allowing that ancient light to be shared from one home altar to another.

Every element within this Ritual Chest tells part of that pilgrimage. None of the keepsakes were chosen simply for decoration; each represents a place, a memory, a prayer, or a moment of connection encountered along the way.

A handcrafted wooden wand created with materials gathered during our pilgrimage to Wells and Glastonbury.

The wand includes a Clear Quartz point selected at a market in Glastonbury, a Rose Quartz heart, an Amethyst heart, a naturally shed swan feather collected during our visit to Wells, a natural pine cone gathered from the gardens of the Bishop’s Palace, decorative green foliage, copper wrapping and one gold swan charm positioned beside the Amethyst heart.
