Brigid, Aphrodite, Sekhmet & Isis: Four Goddesses, Four Flames of Feminine Power

Brigid, Aphrodite, Sekhmet & Isis: Four Goddesses, Four Flames of Feminine Power

Introducing the House of Bridie Autumn Goddess Collection

There are some collections that begin with a product idea.

This one began with a story.

Over the past few months, while researching the ancient traditions surrounding Goddess Brigid, Darlughdach, Brigantia and the sacred feminine, I kept discovering extraordinary echoes across different cultures. Not because these goddesses were historically the same being—they weren't—but because they seem to speak to many of the same timeless human experiences.

Fire.

Love.

Healing.

Magic.

Transformation.

From those threads, the new House of Bridie Goddess Collection was born.

This autumn, House of Bridie will be introducing a collection of wearable goddess artwork alongside a matching range of hand-poured soy candles and beautifully scented altar oils, each inspired by the mythology, symbolism and atmosphere of four magnificent goddesses.

Brigid.

Aphrodite.

Sekhmet.

Isis.

Each goddess has her own story, her own symbols and her own personality—and every design has been created as though it were a piece of collectible art rather than simply an image printed onto clothing.

As this collection began to take shape, I became fascinated by something deeper. Although Brigid, Aphrodite, Sekhmet and Isis emerged from very different cultures and traditions, certain themes seem to echo between their stories — sacred fire and water, healing, love and sexuality, sovereignty, creativity, protection, motherhood and transformation. I began to wonder whether these similarities were simply recurring expressions of the divine feminine, or whether history might reveal older connections and cultural crossroads between them. That question deserves a story of its own — and it is one I’ll be exploring next.

Brigid — Keeper of the Eternal Flame

Brigid — Keeper of the Eternal Flame. Fire • Healing • Poetry • Sovereignty.

Brigid is, and always will be, the heart of House of Bridie.

When creating this artwork, I wanted her to feel completely different from the gentle saintly depictions we often see. I wanted to capture her as the Celtic goddess who embodies creativity, courage, healing and sovereignty.

Her wild copper-red hair is woven with ivy and Celtic braids, while the Eternal Flame burns brightly in her hand. Around her are symbols woven through Brigid’s ancient and evolving story: sacred flame, Brigid’s Cross, flowing waters, swan, oak and the Celtic landscape.

She stands between fire and water.

Between poetry and power.

Between the old world and the new.

The matching fragrance

Brigid — The Eternal Flame

A glowing sacred blend of:

  • Sweet Orange
  • Cedarwood
  • Myrrh
  • A gentle whisper of Clove

Warm, comforting and reminiscent of an ancient hearth beside a glowing sanctuary flame.

The matching altar oil will carry exactly the same fragrance, allowing the candle and ritual oil to become a beautiful devotional pair.

Aphrodite — Love Is Sacred

Aphrodite — Love Is Sacred. Beauty • Desire • Harmony • Pleasure • Devotion.

Aphrodite is often introduced simply as the goddess of love.

But while creating this design, I wanted to celebrate something much deeper.

Sacred love.

Self-love.

Beauty.

Pleasure.

The courage to receive as much as we give.

She emerges from a world of roses, shells, doves and the shimmering Mediterranean sea, surrounded by ancient temples and warm sunset light. Every detail was chosen to create a feeling of divine femininity without becoming overly romantic.

This is a goddess who radiates confidence rather than fragility.

The matching fragrance

Aphrodite — Love Is Sacred

A luxurious floral blend of:

  • Rose
  • Bergamot
  • Sweet Orange
  • Soft Myrrh

Romantic without being overpowering, elegant and feminine with a beautiful uplifting citrus opening.

The altar oil becomes a gorgeous companion for love rituals, self-care and creating a beautiful sacred space.

Sekhmet — The Fierce Heart

Sekhmet — The Fierce Heart. Protection • Strength • Healing • Fury • Transformation.

Sekhmet completely changed the energy of this collection.

She is fierce.

Solar.

Unapologetic.

Yet she is also remembered as a goddess connected with healing and protection, making her one of the most fascinating divine feminine figures of ancient Egypt.

Her artwork is filled with lion imagery, blazing fire, golden temples, lotus flowers, pyramids and the radiant sun. Rather than depicting rage alone, I wanted her to embody the strength that appears when we finally remember our own power.

She is transformation through fire.

She is courage with a heartbeat.

The matching fragrance

Sekhmet — The Fierce Heart

A rich temple-inspired blend of:

  • Frankincense
  • Cedarwood
  • Clove
  • Sweet Orange

Deep, smoky, warm and radiant with a powerful sacred atmosphere.

The matching altar oil will feel grounding and protective, perfectly complementing the candle.

Isis — She Who Knows Her Magic

Isis — She Who Knows Her Magic. Magic • Intuition • Wisdom • Rebirth • Devotion • Protection.

The final goddess in the collection is Isis.

Her artwork feels almost like stepping through the doors of an ancient Egyptian temple.

Lapis blue.

Gold.

Lotus flowers.

The Nile.

The ankh.

The stars.

Isis has long been associated with magic, devotion, wisdom and rebirth, and I wanted her design to feel mysterious and regal while remaining beautifully feminine.

Her magnificent crown became the centrepiece of the artwork, surrounded by celestial gold and flowing dark hair, creating a goddess who feels both ancient and timeless.

The matching fragrance

Isis — She Who Knows Her Magic

An enchanting sacred blend of:

  • Frankincense
  • Myrrh
  • Bergamot
  • Lavender

Soft incense meets calming floral notes to create the most mystical fragrance in the collection.

The matching altar oil will be designed as the perfect companion for meditation, intuitive work and sacred rituals.

A wearable goddess collection

One of the things I wanted most when designing these pieces was that they would feel like artwork someone would genuinely treasure wearing.

Rather than creating ordinary printed clothing, every illustration has been designed in the style of an ornate tarot or oracle card, with gilded borders, mythology, symbolism and meaningful words woven into every composition.

The first apparel collection will include:

  • Goddess graphic T-shirts
  • Autumn sweatshirts
  • Luxury hoodies
  • Matching future accessories and gifts

Each goddess will remain part of the same visual family, making the collection feel beautifully cohesive while celebrating the individuality of every divine feminine archetype.

Which version would you wear?
As I’ve been developing the collection, each goddess has evolved into more than one visual expression — from stronger front-facing portraits to softer side-profile and three-quarter poses. I’m still deciding which versions will become the final apparel designs, and I’d genuinely love to know which ones speak to you most. If you have a favourite, leave me a comment below.

The Goddess Flame candle collection

Alongside the apparel will come four hand-poured soy candles, each created with its own distinctive fragrance inspired by its goddess.

Goddess Candle Altar Oil
Brigid The Eternal Flame The Eternal Flame Ritual Oil
Aphrodite Love Is Sacred Love Is Sacred Ritual Oil
Sekhmet The Fierce Heart The Fierce Heart Ritual Oil
Isis She Who Knows Her Magic She Who Knows Her Magic Ritual Oil

The candles will be created as an affordable entry into House of Bridie, while the altar oils will offer a beautiful companion ritual for those wishing to deepen their connection with each goddess.

My hope is that someone might choose the artwork that speaks to them first...

...then discover her fragrance.

And perhaps eventually discover the stories that inspired them all.

One collection, many stories

This collection isn't about saying that Brigid, Aphrodite, Sekhmet and Isis were the same goddess.

They belong to different cultures, different lands and different mythologies.

Instead, it is about exploring the beautiful conversations that emerge when we place their stories beside one another.

Brigid reminds us to create.

Aphrodite reminds us that love is sacred.

Sekhmet reminds us that strength can heal.

Isis reminds us to trust the magic within.

Four goddesses.

Four flames.

One beautifully connected House of Bridie collection.

Coming this autumn.
