A one-of-a-kind handcrafted Brigid altar set created for new beginnings, renewal and the courage to begin again.

At the heart of this special set is Brynwen, Brigid’s Keeper of New Beginnings — individually sculpted by hand with vivid flame-red hair, fresh green robes, trailing leaves, golden botanical details and carefully placed crystals, symbolising the first signs of new growth after a season of change.

But Brynwen is more than a figurine. She has been created as the centrepiece of a complete Brigid altar set, bringing together the sacred symbols of flame, water, earth and crystal.

Inspired by Brigid, Goddess of Sacred Fire, Healing Waters, Wells, Poetry and Renewal, Brynwyn carries the two sacred elements that have always been at the heart of Brigid's tradition—Fire and Water.

She is created as a living altar companion, reminding us that transformation happens when inspiration (Fire) meets healing (Water).

Whether she sits on your altar, your desk, your bedside or within your sacred space, Brynwen becomes a gentle reminder that every sunrise offers another chance to begin.

The Pilgrimage Story

At the heart of Brynwen’s altar is the pilgrimage story that inspired House of Bridie.

Our journey with Brigid has taken us from her sacred wells and Eternal Flame in Kildare, Ireland, to the ancient waters of Glastonbury, where the White Spring and Chalice Well continue to flow beneath the Tor.

These places embody something central to Brigid herself: fire that continues to burn and water that continues to flow.

Brynwen carries both.

Her accompanying Eternal Flame candle represents the sacred flame tended at Solas Bhríde in Kildare, while her Rose Goddess Altar Essence contains sacred waters personally collected during our pilgrimages to Brigid’s wells in Kildare and the sacred springs of Glastonbury.

For a Guardian devoted to new beginnings, those symbols feel especially fitting. A flame can be rekindled. Water continues to move. Spring returns. And sometimes beginning again is itself a sacred act.

How to use

Place Brynwen somewhere meaningful: on an altar, beside your bed, within a meditation space, on a desk or wherever you would like a reminder of the new chapter you are creating.

You might sit with her when setting an intention for a new beginning, writing in your journal, making an important decision or simply when you need encouragement to move forward.

The Rose Goddess Altar Essence can be placed beside Brynwen as an altar offering or incorporated into your personal ritual practice.

The Eternal Flame taper can be lit separately on a suitable heatproof candle holder as a symbolic act of beginning again. You may also use its flame to light another altar candle, allowing the symbolism of Brigid’s flame to continue within your own sacred space.

There is no prescribed ritual. Brynwen is created to become part of your own practice and your own story.

A hand-selected combination of crystals including clear quartz, amethyst and carnelian & citrine complementary stones.

Rose Goddess Altar Essence:

Rose water, sacred pilgrimage waters personally collected from Brigid-associated sacred wells and springs in Kildare and Glastonbury, clear quartz, amethyst, cosmetic mica and preservative.

Eternal Flame Candle:

Taper candle with handwritten House of Bridie Eternal Flame tag and decorative four-leaf clover charm.

Care & safety

Brynwen is a handcrafted decorative altar piece and should be handled with care. Keep away from excessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight and sources of heat.

The Rose Goddess Altar Essence is for altar and ritual use only. Do not ingest or apply to the skin.

Remove the glass candle holder from Brynwen before lighting and ensure that any flame is positioned safely away from her hair, clay, decorative leaves and other embellishments.

The Eternal Flame taper should be removed from its packaging and placed upright in a suitable heat-resistant candle holder before lighting.

Never leave burning candles unattended. Keep flames away from children, pets, draughts and combustible materials. Keep loose crystals and small decorative components away from young children and pets.
